M's Curry in Sasazuka, Tokyo

First of all, this place is not particularly easy to find, but this site has a pretty good map and some other information/review. It's out in the suburbs, but worth visiting to see how a nice friendly residential neighbourhood works.

This is definitely not a standard curry. You sit down and basically get to choose rabbit or beef based curry and you just get served. In usual Japanese style, you can scam as much rice as you want, but of course it's poor form to have residual.

The curry is quite different to a Japanese curry, but more a mix of Japanese flavour and traditional Indian curry. Pretty strong and rich flavour, but not overwhelming to cover up the natural flavour of the meat.

There's typically a queue outside as the entire restaurant is in yet another typical Japanese style, quite small. However, drop by with a book or something to do while waiting and you'll be happy you gave this a try.
